Will Brain Entrainment ever go 'mainstream'?

Seems like sound healing technology has made some profound changes in bettering people's lives...yet nothing on Oprah, nothing on 60 minutes, or any major news publicity. I feel it's completely worthy of this sort of notority and publicity.

Does anyone feel it's just a matter of time?

GWW, I was thinking that reputable programs who backed the product could get millions more using the program raising the consciousness of the planet to a degree unseen in the past.

I guess, it's just wishful thinking that (God forbid) the average human being would want to help himself out a little so that he could benefit the earth that we live on. (I read in a R. Dawkins book a while back that the consciousness level of someone like Jesus Christ or Mother Theresa has a profound effect on millions of people.)

SO, Frank~ I think you're right that people would rather get lost in a show like "Lost" for an hour rather than in discovering who they really are. But i wonder if there COULD be enough raw emotion behind the story of BE someday that would get people to want to know more about it. (btw, Frank, nope I hadn't heard of that calorie intake program)

I don't see why B Harris wouldn't be interested in that type of publicity..

One of the reasons I nearly didn't buy AP was the fact that some technology I knew nothing about was going to mess with my brain...and actually CHANGE who I was. That was a little scary and might not be too well received by the general public.

Thanks for catching that!

Yes SO, that's a terrific distinction. That's what I am going to say from now on.

Paul, are you familiar with the Calorie Restriction Society (calorierestriction.org)? They follow a severely restricted calorie diet to increase their life span by 40 percent. It's quite a trade off, but one discovery that came out of this was the existence of a "Survival Gene". That apparently clicks on when calories are restricted. Why do I bring this up? Well, here's a solution to living longer and it's been broadcasted on notable TV shows like "60 Minutes", yet people aren't knocking down their door wanting to live that lifestyle.

But here comes science to make it easier for us humans (yes, we humans are lazy creatures). In this article, scientist now say, "We have a pill that can mimic many of the effects of calorie restriction or exercise. So one could be very healthy and obese at the same time. Our goal is healthy individuals, ideally via lifestyle, and if that doesn't work, we believe that we'll have a pill that can mimic that. A pill that - in effect - diets for you, a pill that turns on the survival gene. What we're trying to do with our drugs here is to put the body in a defensive state to ring the alarm bells and get the body to defend itself instead of dieting to set the alarm off, pop a pill. The pill is a highly concentrated form of resveratrol (the key ingredient in red wine), a virtual vineyard of healthy living"

Fountain of Youth in a wine Rx pill

Point being, humans are too lazy to take an hour of their day, every day, year after year for their greater contentment. Now, you put that in a pill form, well yes, I can see that going mainstream. :)

Oprah also had a bit about calorie restriction, and I really did have to wonder if I could do that. Something else is coming to mind about this that I read recently that had the same effect as calorie restriction, but I can't remember. It may have something to do with meditation.

Agreed. 1. People have misbelief and unless everyone they know is doing something they won't do it. We are weird like that.

So brain entrainment remains a mystical thing for "those" people. So for me, I know my changes and my awareness can only have positive effects on those around me.

IMHO,I believe the possibility of BE ever going mainstrem will be slim to none. When you are talking about messing with people's beliefs....get ready for the (fill in the blank of why it will not work.

It took me more than 2 years before I pulled the trigger for a free demo. What was I thinking????

I don't have any statistics to back me up and from the different conversations I have had over the last couple of years, people just aren't interested in change, except if it comes in a pill! As the Staples ad used to say "that was easy!":-) LOL

I think what I meant was if anyone thought that BE would be discussed on one of the larger shows like oprah or 60 minutes (I wasn't clear on that).... I really do agree that the notion that a majority of people will eventually choose to drop what there doing for an hour a day to listen to BE / sound healing audio is pretty far-fetched. But not as far-fetched to think that the option of BE be brought to national television..

I just hope more people will come to know there is HOPE for people suffering from all kinds of mind-based disfunctions (depression, anxiety...all that) And that medication is not the only answer in many cases.

...interesting perspective. I like that , GWW. I hadn't realized that my 'wanting everyone to do it' is , in essence, yet another way I strive for control in a way. Everything is ok as it is. As long as I take a perspective that "well, if things were THIS way, then the world would be better", i'm still not gettin' it. I see that ...

"them I'm 94"

Too funny SO! Maybe I'll try some reservatrol.

stay away from Reservatrol Ultra...there's a big 'scam' going on offering a 'free' sample and i got dupped for $74 (people aren't reading the small print and getting hosed). Great product though! I'm a believer , too.

I usually take my reservatrol in a glass, but I'll check it out.
More good news. I just read that an amount of caffeine equivalent to 5 cups of coffee in humans reversed memory loss in mice bred to develop Alzheimer’s disease, in addition to lowering blood and brain levels of amyloid-beta, the substance that accumulates in the brains of human Alzheimer’s disease patients. In that case, that means I should be good for the next couple of lifetimes.
